As a dancer, I explored how lines created through movement could translate into letterforms. I realized that my daily commute—approximately five hours a week moving through the city—functions as a repeated choreography. I traced four distinct commuting routes using Google Maps, allowing these paths to become the foundational lines for the typography. This process heightened my awareness of my surroundings, revealing new visual interest within a familiar routine.

This series of mockups explores a brand identity inspired by the four transit lines of my daily commute. The lines are transformed into custom letterforms and graphic elements, creating a bold urban commuter aesthetic that reflects movement, connection, and city life.

“Get Lost” plays on the idea of both “go away” and the act of wandering through Seattle’s parks. The concept encourages exploration and getting immersed in the city’s urban nature. The blue and green lines are derived from a route in my typeface, forming an abstract landscape that suggests a stream or sky above grass. The letterform fill reinforces this natural environment, tying the composition back to the structure of the typeface

I designed a kiosk using route-inspired letterforms layered over a Google Maps background. The typeface represents a path moving through the city, connecting language and navigation.
I kept the design unframed to maintain a clean composition
and emphasize movement, direction, and flow within an
urban commuting environment.
